What are your services?
We offer high quality audio cassette duplication and packaging for audio cassettes (Jcards, O-cards, Stickers, UV-printing). Besides this we can discuss custom packaging designs and production.
How much does an audio cassette cost?
Cassette price depends on quantity, tape length, and packaging. For example: one cassette with a 30-minute recording, stickers, artwork, and case — €3.50 per piece (for a run of 100 units). The larger the order, the lower the cost per unit. For quantities of 200 or more, we offer special prices. For an exact quote, please email order@gotape.eu.
Can you release my album as a label?
No, we do not operate as a label and do not release editions at our own expense. We only provide manufacturing services.
What type of tape do you use?
We use premium RTM magnetic tape, for several reasons:
– SM900 formula with high output and low distortion ensures clean, dense sound
– strict quality control guarantees consistent sound from cassette to cassette
– low self-noise (“tape hiss”)
– durable mechanics
Do you have Type 2 chrome tape?
Unfortunately, no Type II magnetic tape is currently produced anywhere in the world.
What is the maximum cassette length?
The maximum available length is 94 minutes (C-94), i.e. 47 minutes per side.
How do I determine the correct tape length?
A cassette has two sides. Divide your program accordingly.
Cassette length = (longer side × 2).
Remember to include pauses between tracks.
Example: Side A = 19:45, Side B = 19:37 → Cassette length = 19:45 × 2 = 39:30 = C-39.5
Do you offer artwork design?
Yes. Our design service starts from €35 for basic layout adaptation.

ORDERS, TURNAROUND & PAYMENT
How do I make an order?
Choose cassette color, case type, and packaging options. You can calculate your cost and place an order using the calculator on our website. Simply fill in the form and our manager will contact you within one business day to confirm your order and send the invoice.

How can I pay for my order?
You can pay by bank transfer or PayPal. Please note: PayPal payments add from 3.5% to 5.5% fee due to platform charges.
What is the minimum order?
The minimum order quantity is 30 copies. We can also produce smaller runs, but unit cost will be higher. Contact us for details order@gotape.eu
How long is turnaround time?
Turnaround time is 3 weeks after receiving payment and all files. Blank tapes without printing are usually ready within 1 week. The production time is counted in calendar days and starts from the moment we receive the payment and all necessary files.
Do you offer express production?
Yes:
– 2 weeks → +20% added to the order cost
– 1 week → +40% added to the order cost
– 3 days → +60% added to the order cost

Can I order a sample before full production?
Yes, you can order a sample cassette to check print and sound quality while placing your full run. The sample cost depends on tape length and printing type. Please contact order@gotape.eu for details.
Can I order a Britney Spears cassette?
For duplicated cassettes, we only work with copyright holders.
TAXES & DUTIES
How much is VAT?
For customers from the EU, VAT is added according to your country’s rate.
When is VAT not charged?
If you order as a company with a valid VAT number registered in the EU, we issue an invoice without VAT. However, your company remains responsible for VAT when selling cassettes to customers.
I’m outside the European Union. Do I pay VAT?
If your order is shipped outside the EU, VAT will not be included in your invoice. However, local customs duties or import taxes may apply. Please check your country’s customs regulations for details.

Where do you ship?
We ship worldwide, except Russia
What shipping options are available and how much is it?
Normally, we ship via Pošta Slovenije (Slovenian Post). If you want to choose another carrier let us know.
Shipping cost depends on parcel weight and destination.

AUDIO & ARTWORK PREPARATION
What file format should I use for the master audio?
All files should be in WAV format. The best in WAV PCM format, with a sample rate of 44,100 Hz and a bit depth of 16 bit. Split the tracks into two files — one for Side A and one for Side B — and arrange them in the desired order. Name the files clearly to indicate which is Side A and which is Side B. Please discuss the possibility of using other formats with your manager via order@gotape.eu
Should I do special mastering for cassettes?
No special mastering is required. You can send the same master you use for digital release. Unlike vinyl, cassette recording is magnetic and less affected by physical medium constraints.
Should I design the artwork myself or can you do it?
Usually, bands or labels prepare artwork themselves. However, we also offer design services, starting from €35 for adapting existing layouts (for example, from CD artwork), and up to full custom design created from scratch. Contact order@gotape.eu to discuss your project.
What file format should I use for artwork?
Preferred format: PDF. Please follow these design requirements:
- Color mode: CMYK.
- Resolution: At least 300 dpi.
- All fonts must be converted to outlines or rasterized.
- Cut and fold lines should be in vector format and placed on a separate layer. (If you’re unsure how to do this, simply remove these lines before sending the design.)
- Background images must extend 3 mm beyond the cut lines.
- Texts and other important elements should be at least 2 mm away from the cut lines.

QUALITY & RETURNS
What should I do if I find a defect?
We apply double quality control at the factory.
However, if a rare defect occurs (sound mismatch, misprint, damaged case, etc.), please:
- Contact your manager immediately.
- We’ll determine the cause.
- If the issue is on our side, we will re-produce or replace the defective items.
